Right ventricle overview
The RV section groups chamber size, systolic function, strain, RV-PA coupling, and TV inflow so the report stays compact but complete.

Simple approach
Read the section as a measurement-led dashboard. Start with RV size, then use TAPSE, S’, FAC, 3D EF, and strain to describe systolic function. Review TAPSE/PASP and RVOT timing when pulmonary pressure or coupling is clinically relevant.
Detailed tutorial
The RV report surface is intentionally grouped by clinical question:
- Size and morphology: chamber diameters, RVOT diameters, and anterior wall thickness.
- Systolic function: TAPSE, S’, FAC, RIMP, and 3D EF when available.
- Strain: global and free-wall strain from speckle tracking.
- RV-PA coupling: TAPSE/PASP ratio and RVOT timing.
- TV inflow and TDI: E/A, e’/a’, and E/e’ surrogates.
Info
Use image quality and loading conditions when interpreting RV measurements. RV geometry makes single-number interpretation less reliable than for the left ventricle.
